BonkEnc is a free audio converter and CD ripper which integrates various popular formats and encoders. It currently supports MP3, MP4/M4A, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC and Bonk files.
BonkEnc makes it easy to convert your audio CDs to MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files which you can use in your hardware player or with your favorite audio software. The program supports the CDDB/freedb online CD database and CDText and automatically writes song information to ID3v2 or Vorbis comment tags.

BonkEnc version 1.0.14 has been released today. It bundles several improvements as well as some major bug fixes. The new release fixes a problem that lead to the program hanging or crashing on some Windows 7 systems. It also features significant speed optimizations for single and multi core systems, a new MP3 decoder and some minor other improvements. BonkEnc v1.0.14 also adds support for languages written from right to left and already includes preliminary Arabic and Hebrew language files. If you speak a language such as Arabic, Persian, Urdu or Hebrew, you are welcome to contribute your translations.
Upgrading to the new release is strongly recommended to all users of previous versions. You can get it in the downloads section. |

BonkEnc v1.0.13 is available for download now. It includes translation updates, speed optimizations and some bug fixes. The new version improves support for multi-core CPUs by using multi-core optimized encoders and decoders. The optimizations can speed up conversions up to 3x on quad core processors. BonkEnc v1.0.13 also adds support for Vietnamese and Galician language plus a Czech user manual.
Upgrading to the new release is strongly recommended to all users of previous versions. You can get it in the downloads section. |
